המשרה המקורית · נשמר לעיוןWe are looking for a Senior Java Backend Engineer to take ownership of key backend capabilities within our production speech and language platform.
You will work on a distributed system that exposes **REST**, gRPC, and WebSocket APIs, manages complex data flows, and coordinates long-running workflows. You will design and develop platform capabilities, integrate them into real-world speech and document-processing workflows, and ensure they are secure, observable, testable, and reliable.
Our platform runs in both cloud environments and customer-controlled deployments, so the role requires thoughtful engineering across application architecture, deployment constraints, operability, and backward compatibility.
A major focus of the position is turning **LLM** integrations into dependable product and platform capabilities—not simply calling a model **API**, but building the surrounding workflows, validation, security, monitoring, and failure handling required for production use.
What You Will Do:
- Design, implement, and own backend services using modern Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop and maintain **REST**, gRPC, WebSocket, and event-driven interfaces.
- Build reliable workflows for speech, language, document, and **LLM**-powered features.
- Design relational data models, transactions, migrations, caching strategies, and concurrency controls.
- Improve system observability, automated testing, production diagnostics, and operational resilience.
- Integrate commercial and self-hosted LLMs into secure, maintainable product capabilities.
- Collaborate with frontend, desktop, DevOps, AI, and product teams to deliver complete features.
- Contribute to architectural decisions while supporting incremental delivery within an established product.
What We Are Looking For:
- Strong production experience with modern Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience designing service boundaries and versioned APIs or messaging interfaces.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, transactions, concurrency, caching, and distributed-system failure modes.
- A disciplined approach to automated testing, code review, observability, database migrations, and production troubleshooting.
- Ability to balance clean architecture, maintainability, and practical delivery.
- Product-oriented thinking and a willingness to follow a backend feature into a web or desktop client when necessary.
- Experience integrating at least one commercial or self-hosted **LLM** into a production or advanced pre-production system.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools while applying careful validation and sound engineering judgment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with speech recognition, audio streaming, speaker diarization, speaker recognition, or media-processing systems.
- Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift, Helm, Docker, and production **SRE** practices.
- Experience with C#/.**NET**, particularly **WPF**.
- Working knowledge of React and TypeScript, sufficient to implement small administration or configuration features.
- Experience with **LLM** application frameworks, orchestration libraries, evaluation tools, or retrieval-augmented generation systems.
