Co-Founder and Chief Research Officer

Co-Founder & Chief Research Officer (unpaid position)

Chorus is looking for a Co-Founder & Chief Research Officer to join our founding team.

We’re building a synthetic research platform for survey, polling, and focus group companies. Chorus uses AI-generated audiences to simulate survey responses, test hypotheses, and generate research insights in minutes rather than weeks.

What we're looking for Someone with significant experience in survey research, polling, market research, or focus groups, ideally from a research company, polling organization, insights company, or research technology platform.

You should have strong expertise in areas such as:

• Survey methodology and questionnaire design

• Sampling and representative populations

• Weighting and statistical adjustment

• Response distributions and segmentation

• Bias identification and correction

• Quantitative research and statistical analysis

• Research validity and experimental design

• Translating research data into meaningful insights

Experience with synthetic respondents, computational social science, psychometrics, Bayesian/statistical modeling, or LLM-based research is a major advantage.

What you'll own You will define the research methodology behind Chorus and help ensure that our synthetic audiences behave like a credible research instrument, not just an AI demo.

You’ll work directly with the CEO and CTO on:

• Designing and validating our research methodology

• Defining how synthetic populations are constructed

• Developing benchmarks against real survey data

• Measuring and reducing bias

• Building weighting, calibration, and validation frameworks

• Working with survey and focus group companies on real research projects

• Helping shape Chorus into a product professional researchers can trust

About Chorus Chorus is building an AI-native research platform designed specifically for professional survey and focus group companies.

The product is already being built, and we are working with research companies as early design partners.

Our current founding team covers the business/product side (CEO) and technology/AI side (CTO). We’re looking for the third piece: someone who deeply understands survey research, polling, statistics, and research methodology.

This is a co-founder position and is currently equity-based with no salary. We’re looking for someone who wants to build the company with us, not someone looking for a consulting or part-time advisory role.
