leading organization in the insurance industry is looking for an Experienced COBOL Developer to join a technology team working on core business systems in a professional and challenging environment.

The role includes development and maintenance of core systems, working with existing code, troubleshooting and resolving bugs, mapping business processes, and leading tasks from end to end.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing high-quality COBOL code.

• Mapping and understanding business processes at the business-module level.

• Working with existing code, analyzing it, and troubleshooting and resolving bugs.

• Documenting key interfaces.

• Taking part in product development processes.

• Leading tasks end to end – from the specification phase through development completion.

• Working independently while collaborating effectively within a team.

Mandatory Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in COBOL development – mandatory.

• Significant experience with the AS400 environment – mandatory.

• Experience in technical specification and design.

• Ability to work independently in a computerized environment.

• Strong proficiency in SQL.

• Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
