COBOL Developer

We are hiring a COBOL Developer for a public sector organization located in central Israel

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, maintain, and upgrade core financial systems in an IBM Mainframe environment using COBOL

• Write and test code for complex financial systems

• Troubleshoot issues and identify Root Cause

• Work with databases and technological interfaces

• Collaborate closely with Systems Analysts, testing teams, and technical and business stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of experience in COBOL development in a Mainframe environment

• Experience working with DB2 and strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries

• Practical Engineer in Computer Science or a degree in Computer Science from a recognized institution

• Experience in developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex core systems

• Experience working with financial systems – an advantage
