We are looking for a hands-on COBOL Developer to join a professional team working on complex financial core systems. We are looking for a responsible, motivated developer with strong analytical and systems-thinking skills, a passion for learning, a proactive mindset, and a genuine desire to grow professionally.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance core systems using COBOL, including new development, modifications, debugging, and production support.

• Work with existing code and complex business processes, with a strong focus on understanding the business logic behind the systems.

• Work closely with System Analysts, QA teams, business stakeholders, and technical interfaces throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on COBOL development experience.

• Experience in a Mainframe environment – preferred, with relevant experience in AS400/IBM i or Natural also considered.

• Experience with SQL and databases; DB2 is an advantage.

• Practical Engineer's Diploma in Software/Computer Engineering or a B.Sc. in Computer Science from a recognized institution.

Advantages:

• Experience in a financial, banking, or insurance organization.

• Experience with 3270 Online screens.

• Experience with CICS, JCL, Batch/Online processes, or scheduling tools such as Control-M.

• Experience working with complex legacy/core systems and multiple technical and business interfaces.
