Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a COBOL System Analyst at NOAVA TECH. The COBOL System Analyst will analyze existing COBOL-based systems, understand business requirements, and translate them into technical specifications and system changes. Responsibilities include reviewing and documenting current workflows, identifying improvements, and collaborating with developers, testers, and business stakeholders to implement and validate changes. The role involves troubleshooting system issues, performing impact analysis for new features, and supporting production environments to ensure stability and performance. The analyst will also contribute to modernization initiatives, maintain clear documentation, and participate in regular status meetings and code or design reviews. Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Systems Analysis and Business Analysis skills, including the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Troubleshooting capabilities to investigate issues, identify root causes, and recommend effective resolutions.

• Candidates should possess a robust Information Technology background, including experience with COBOL, mainframe environments, and related tools or databases.

• Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience with legacy system maintenance, system integration, and change management processes is beneficial.

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a structured manner.

• Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC), documentation standards, and basic project coordination is an advantage.
