Communication System Team Leader

The company's Mobile Broadband division specializes in high-performance, power-efficient modem and Digital Signal

Processing (DSP) ASIC platforms for next-generation wireless systems, including 5G base stations, LEO satellite terminals, and enterprise IoT devices.

Operating globally with approximately 500 employees worldwide, including around 350 engineering and R&D professionals in Israel.

Located in the Sharon area (right by the train station), operating on a hybrid work model.

Role Description-

• Joining as a Wireless System & Algorithm Team Lead / Technical Lead, managing an algorithm engineer while driving core research and architecture.

• Leading the design, research, and definition of next-generation 5G and wireless modem algorithms at the intersection of System Design, SW, and VLSI.

• Taking full ownership of system definitions, modem specifications, and algorithm development from initial research through simulation to official production release.

• Conducting system modeling and specification documentation using MATLAB, C, C++, or SystemC.

• Balancing DSP, Software, and Hardware trade-offs considering performance, real-time constraints, silicon implementation costs, and time-to-market.

Requirements-

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Communication Systems Engineering – Mandatory

• Proven experience in technical leadership, management, or team leading roles – Mandatory

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in communication algorithms development and modem system definitions – Mandatory

• Deep expertise in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) implementation using MATLAB, C, and embedded coding environments – Mandatory

• Extensive hands-on experience in wireless modem design and architecture – Mandatory

• Proven background or knowledge working with 4G / 5G-NR cellular standards – Advantage

• Advanced Academic Degree (M.Sc. / Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering – Advantage
