As a control engineer you will have a major role in the development of cutting-edge technologies in our multidisciplinary systems, alongside the maintenance and upgrading of the productional systems – a position that is at the beating heart of the company!

Your responsibilities will include:

• Development and implementation of control algorithms for electro-optical aeronautical systems.

• Development and implementation of automated calibration and optimization processes (SW infrastructures, ATP, simulations, Root cause analysis, performance testing etc.) for the various R&D teams along with the production line.

• Complete Involvement throughout the various project development tasks, working closely with SW/HW/mechanical/electronic/productional teams.

• Participation in system integration, lab and field testing, design reviews (PDR/CDR etc.) and in all other multidisciplinary cross-field aspects.

• Perform experiments under POD/POC and for problem solving reasons.

• Customer and technical support, including providing guidance for collaborative projects.

Job Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience as a control engineer in the defense industry – A must.

• Proven experience with developing control and stabilization algorithms for electro-optical systems – An Advantage.

• Bachelor's / master's degree in mechanical/electrical/Aeronautical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline – A must.

• Elaborate and thorough knowledge of 6DOF dynamics, familiarity with the electronics and the physics of motion-control systems (i.e. BLDC motors with corresponding load) and the ability to mathematically express related models in both the time and the frequency domain – A must.

• Deep understanding of real-time embedded software programs with the ability to navigate, write, and debug C based code while performing HIL (Hardware in the Loop) debugging – A must.

• Proficiency in Model-Based-Design development methodologies using tools such as MATLAB, SIMULINK, CCS/VISUAUL STUDIO/VS-CODE/Other IDE to implement

• Familiarity with micro-controllers and sensors, including their operating principles, communication protocols, and the ability to read and understand technical specifications of such devices (for example: IMU, Encoders, A2D, TI C2000 or other micro-controllers …) – A must.

• Understanding of signal processing techniques and their implementation for data analysis and real-time applications, including FFT/PSD, frequency-based modulation etc.

• Experience with lab related equipment such as Oscilloscopes, debuggers, DVM etc.

• Familiarity with communication protocols such as SSI/BISS, I2C, SPI, UART etc.

• Familiarity with optics and imaging concepts such as FOV/FOR/IFOV, DRI, Pixels, Integration/Exposure time, LOS, Digital Stabilization etc.

• Knowledge and practical application of control concepts and models such as FOC, Kalman Filter, Frequency Based Loop Shaping, State Space Control / Observers, Track / LOS Algorithms, PWM, System Identification etc.
