What we are looking for:

Nova seeks a Control Planner to join our operations organization and take ownership of costing, cost analysis, and inventory management analysis.

In this role, you will become an integral part of the Supply Chain team, supporting an efficient period-end close process, including WO variance, miscellaneous transactions, cost adjustments, and inventory count management. You will work closely with the Operations and Finance teams and have a direct impact on cost and inventory performance, inventory count accuracy, and process improvement.

This position offers a great opportunity for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about driving operational excellence in a dynamic environment.

What will you be doing:

• Monitor and analyze daily Work Order (WO) variances against standard costing and periodically against BOM, identifying discrepancies and driving corrective actions and cost/process improvements.

• Perform monthly cost analysis of purchased items to identify trends, discrepancies, and savings opportunities.

• Execute and validate overhead corrections, manual cost adjustments, and miscellaneous inventory and cost transactions, ensuring data integrity and compliance.

• Analyze and manage Slow/Dead inventory, including review meetings, inventory transfers, write-offs, and disposal activities with proper documentation.

• Monitor EOL activities, including end-of-stock updates based on demand changes, Last Time Buy (LTB) coordination, and resolution of urgent material issues.

• Analyze, manage, review, and present end-of-quarter inventory comparisons.

• Conduct monthly Finance reviews of WO variances, miscellaneous transactions, and cost adjustments, and perform end-of-period validations and closure of completed work orders.

• Lead and track inventory counts, review results, investigate discrepancies, present findings, and coordinate and follow up on corrective actions.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years in Planning, preferably material planning, demand analysis, material availability, and coordination of planning activities.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, inventory, and material planning processes.

• Experience with Oracle Cloud / Oracle Fusion Cloud is an advantage, particularly in Planning, Inventory, Costing, or Supply Chain modules - advantage

• Strong Excel and data-analysis skills.

• Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to present findings and recommendations to management.
