Control System Engineer

Role Description

• Serving as a PLM & Configuration Control Engineer, taking end-to-end ownership of product configuration management, BOM structures, and engineering documentation within the corporate PLM system.

• Managing and maintaining complex, multi-level Bills of Materials (BOMs), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and product configuration trees throughout the full hardware lifecycle.

• Collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including R&D, Hardware Design, Production, Product Marketing, Operations, and external subcontractors.

• Standardizing and authoring engineering procedures, documentation baselines, and DFM (Design for Manufacturability) methodologies.

• Interfacing with PCB assembly and manufacturing teams to resolve configuration anomalies, assembly constraints, and component lifecycle changes.

• Tracking product revisions, obsolescence, and documentation compliance across all product maturation stages.

Requirements-

• B.Sc. in Electrical / Electronics Engineering OR Practical Electronics Engineer– Mandatory

• 3–7 years of hands-on experience in a similar role (Configuration Management / PLM / NPI / Engineering Operations) – Mandatory

• Proven background and practical experience with PCB manufacturing and PCBA assembly processes – Mandatory

• In-depth understanding of engineering workflows and strong collaboration with R&D, operations, and production floors – Mandatory

• Practical experience authoring formal engineering procedures, ECOs, and DFM methodologies – Mandatory

• High-level English proficiency (verbal and written) – Mandatory

• Hands-on proficiency with enterprise PLM / PDM systems (e.g., Agile, Windchill, Arena) – Significant Advantage

• Broad technical knowledge of modern PCB technologies, stackups, and manufacturing standards – Advantage

• Industry experience within defense, aerospace, or ruggedized systems manufacturing – Advantage
