Customer & Project Manager – Electromechanical Components Manufacturing

A leading precision machining and manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Customer & Project Manager to lead customer relationships and manage complex manufacturing projects from quotation through delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage ongoing customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and expand existing activities.

• Lead projects within a manufacturing and industrial environment.

• Receive customer requirements, price projects, prepare quotations, and negotiate agreements through order closure.

• Take full ownership of projects from order receipt through final delivery.

• Build project plans, manage schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Production, Quality, Procurement, and Technology.

• Monitor material availability, manage engineering changes, and resolve project bottlenecks.

• Support NPI (New Product Introduction) processes and transfer from development to production.

• Work closely with the production floor while interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

• Provide regular project status updates to customers and management, including risks and gap analysis.

• Lead multiple interfaces and maintain strong customer communication.

• Ensure project objectives are achieved while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Proven experience in project management within an industrial/manufacturing environment – Mandatory.

• Direct experience working with customers – Mandatory.

• Commercial experience including pricing, quotations, and contract negotiations – Mandatory.

• Technical knowledge in mechanics and precision machining – Mandatory.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings – Mandatory.

• Experience working closely with production teams and operational interfaces – Mandatory.

• Experience with SolidWorks – Significant advantage.

• Practical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer – Advantage.

• Experience working with defense industry customers – Significant advantage.
