Data center Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Oversee day-to-day facility operations and coordinate with the Projects, Engineering, Electro Mechanical systems

• Train and drill operations and maintenance teams.

• Perform Tier 1 handling of electrical, UPS, cooling/HVAC, and physical infrastructure systems (busbars, electrical cabinets).

• Identify, locate, and isolate faults.

• Lead upgrade and change projects at the facility, alongside broad support for the operations team.

• Build and own the facility's maintenance plan, including innovative cooling and energy-storage methods.

• Own SLA compliance with customers, including familiarity with contract terms.

• Manage and oversee fault-repair vendors.

• Manage and oversee Tier 2+ maintenance vendors.

• Manage facility-specific maintenance contracts.

• Produce facility reports for the operations manager and customers.

• Manage facility inventory.

• Manage facility risk.

• Oversee building control systems, including the laptops/terminals used for building control.

• Be on-call and available to reach the site to resolve issues.

Requirements:

• 5–10 years of experience managing critical facilities.

• Degree in Electrical or HVAC Engineering, or a Practical Engineer certification with experience managing data center facilities.

• Prior experience managing employees and subcontractors.

• Ability to work in a complex, high-pressure environment with multiple stakeholders and interfaces.

• Proven knowledge and experience operating critical systems.

• Valid Certified Electrician license, at minimum.

• Good technical English.
