Data Engineer – Data Integration & AWS

We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join a large-scale organization and work on data integration, data flows, automation, and AWS-based solutions.

This is a maternity leave replacement position with an option to extend.

Immediate availability – Advantage

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Data Flows for ingesting data from multiple source systems into a data lake

• Maintain and manage Apache NiFi infrastructure

• Develop application integration solutions in AWS

• Develop automation processes using Ayehu

• Initiate and lead cross-functional projects across the organization

• Collaborate with various technical teams, vendors, and service providers

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience with Apache NiFi – MUST

• 1+ year of experience developing in Python, including working with APIs – MUST

• 1+ year of experience working with Linux – MUST

• 1+ year of experience working with semi-structured data (JSON) – MUST

• 1+ year of experience with AWS Data Lake services, such as EventBridge, Step Functions, Glue, and Kinesis – MUST

• Experience with SQL, including complex queries and stored procedures – Advantage

• Familiarity with information security concepts, including architecture, communication protocols, authentication, and certificates – Advantage

• Experience with Bash or PowerShell scripting – Advantage
