Data Ops Team Lead

We're looking for an experienced Data Ops Team Lead to join our Data Platform group and lead the operational backbone of our organization's data ecosystem.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining enterprise Data Operations, Production, automation, observability, and Cloud Transformation with a strong focus on our journey from On-Prem to GCP.

• Lead and mentor a strong Data Ops team

• Own the availability, stability and performance of enterprise data systems

• Work with IBM DataStage / Informatica and Control-M

• Lead Production incidents, RCA and continuous improvement

• Build and improve Monitoring, Alerting & Data Observability capabilities

• Drive CI/CD and automation across data pipelines and infrastructure

• Take ownership of Data environments in GCP

• Collaborate closely with Data Engineering, AI Engineering, Full-Stack and Cloud teams

• Help shape our Modern Data Ops practices

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of experience managing a Data Operations / Data team

• Strong operational experience with ETL, DWH, BI, scheduling and monitoring

• Hands-on experience with DataStage or Informatica – required

• Experience with Control-M or a similar scheduling platform – required

• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP / AWS / Azure) – strong advantage

• Familiarity with Grafana, Prometheus or Datadog – advantage

• Knowledge of Spark / Kafka – advantage

• Good understanding of Linux / Windows and infrastructure

• DBA background – advantage

• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
