groundcover is a fast-growing B2D company set to reinvent the way developers monitor their cloud-native applications and impact their organization’s scale. We help teams by providing them with the insights they need to troubleshoot better and faster when trouble hits. We believe that even the most complex systems can have a flawless and amazing user journey. groundcover is looking for a developer who happens to be great at social, not a social media marketer trying to sound technical. You’ll have your ear to the ground across X/Twitter, Reddit, Hacker News, GitHub, and other developer communities, listening to what developers are talking about, debating, building, and struggling with. Then you’ll bring those conversations directly to the engineers sitting next to you at groundcover, get their perspective, and turn their expertise into timely, authentic technical content and conversations. This isn’t about filling a social calendar. It’s about making groundcover an authentic and valuable participant in the technical conversations developers are already having. This is an onsite role in our Tel Aviv office. You’ll work alongside our Engineering and Product teams every day, giving you direct access to the people building groundcover and the technical ideas behind it. What You’ll Do Your primary goal is to make groundcover a recognizable and respected voice within the developer community by connecting what developers are talking about externally with the technical expertise inside groundcover. • Own groundcover’s developer presence across X/Twitter, Reddit, Hacker News, GitHub, and other relevant technical communities. • Keep your ear to the ground on what developers are discussing, debating, complaining about, and getting excited about, particularly around observability, Kubernetes, eBPF, OpenTelemetry, AI infrastructure, SRE, and developer tooling. • Bring those conversations back to groundcover engineers. Ask questions, understand their perspective, and turn their knowledge and opinions into timely technical content. • Participate in developer conversations directly, rather than simply publishing scheduled company content. • Work alongside Engineering and Product to uncover interesting technical stories, architecture decisions, lessons learned, product capabilities, and strong technical points of view. • Create posts, threads, technical explainers, demos, discussions, and other content designed for the communities where they will appear. • Identify emerging technical topics early and determine where groundcover has something meaningful and differentiated to contribute. • Experiment with AI tools and workflows to help discover conversations, research technical topics, repurpose engineering knowledge, and increase the speed and quality of content creation. • Build a feedback loop between the developer community and groundcover, bringing external conversations and signals back to Engineering, Product, and Marketing. • Measure what resonates with technical audiences and continuously improve our topics, formats, channels, and approach.

Requirements: • Hands-on experience as a software engineer, SRE, DevOps engineer, platform engineer, developer advocate, or another technical role involving regular software development. Developer experience is required. • Strong understanding of modern developer and infrastructure technologies. Experience with areas such as Kubernetes, Linux, cloud infrastructure, observability, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, eBPF, distributed systems, or developer tooling is a strong advantage. • Demonstrated experience participating in technical communities, particularly X/Twitter, Reddit, and Hacker News. • Strong instincts for how communication differs across developer communities. You understand that what works on LinkedIn probably won’t work on Hacker News. • Ability to talk directly with engineers, understand complex technical concepts, ask intelligent follow-up questions, and translate those conversations into compelling content without dumbing them down. • Excellent writing skills with the ability to communicate quickly, clearly, and with personality. • Comfortable opening a terminal, reading code, trying a product, building a small demo, or digging into technical documentation when necessary. • Strong judgment about when groundcover has something valuable to contribute to a conversation and when it is better to listen. • Proactive and curious, with a natural desire to understand what developers are building and talking about. • Experience with observability, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, developer tools, or B2D companies is a strong advantage. You’ll Thrive Here If You: • You’re a developer who spends enough time on X/Twitter, Reddit, Hacker News, and GitHub that keeping up with developer conversations already feels natural. • You get excited when you spot a technical discussion gaining momentum and immediately want to know what our engineers think about it. • You’re comfortable walking over to an engineer and saying, “Everyone is talking about this. What are they getting right, and what are they missing?” • You can take the resulting 30-minute technical conversation and turn it into something developers actually want to read and respond to. • You care more about earning credibility with developers than generating another corporate social post. • You enjoy technical debate and aren’t afraid to have a point of view. • You know the difference between contributing to a community and marketing to one. • You want to sit close to the people building the product and become the bridge between those engineers and the broader developer community. • You genuinely love developer culture, infrastructure, and the constant stream of new ideas that comes with it.
