Director of Data Services

We are looking for a visionary and results-driven Director of AI Applications and Data Platforms to lead our data and AI strategy, delivery, and innovation. In this role, you will bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and business value, heading a talented team of data engineers, AI experts, and architects.

You will be responsible for designing and delivering robust data platforms and production-ready AI applications for our global enterprise and mid-market clients, leveraging our deep partnerships with AWS and Salesforce. Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the roadmap for AI and Data offerings, ensuring alignment with market trends and client needs.

• Team Management & Growth: Lead, mentor, and scale a world-class team of Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and AI Specialists. Foster a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and innovation.

• Client Delivery & Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to C-level executives at our client organizations, helping them shape their AI and data strategies and overseeing the delivery of complex, high-impact projects.

• Ecosystem Collaboration: Work closely with our partners to leverage cutting-edge tools (e.g., AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, Salesforce Data Cloud, Einstein AI) and create joint, repeatable solutions.

• Productization & Scaling: Drive the development of reusable frameworks, blueprints, and accelerators to streamline the delivery of AI and data platforms.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to support pre-sales activities, define go-to-market (GTM) strategies, and identify new business opportunities.

Requirements

• Experience: 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Science, or AI software development, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership/management role leading technical teams.

• Cloud & Ecosystem Expertise: Deep hands-on and architectural knowledge of the AWS data ecosystem (Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lake Formation) and AI/ML services (Bedrock, SageMaker). Familiarity with Salesforce Data Cloud / Einstein AI is a major advantage.

• Technical Proven Track Record: Strong experience in building scalable modern data architectures (Data Lakes, Data Mesh, Lakehouses) and deploying Generative AI / LLM applications into production.

• Consulting/SI Background: Proven experience working in a global professional services, consulting, or system integrator (SI) environment.

• Business Acumen: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for stakeholders and clients.

• Education: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Languages: High proficiency in English (both written and verbal) – working with global teams and clients is an everyday routine.
