Director of Engineering

A growing global technology company operating in a highly regulated manufacturing environment is looking for an experienced Director of Engineering to join its operations in Israel.

The company develops and manufactures innovative technology-based products for global customers and operates across multiple international locations.

The Role

The Director of Engineering will lead a multidisciplinary engineering organization and will be responsible for driving manufacturing excellence, technical robustness, and continuous improvement across production operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining people leadership, manufacturing engineering, process optimization, technical problem-solving, and strategic operational improvement.

The successful candidate will lead initiatives aimed at increasing capacity, improving yield and quality, reducing costs, and strengthening manufacturing capabilities, while ensuring compliance with applicable quality and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team.

• Set priorities and ensure alignment between engineering activities and business objectives.

• Provide technical leadership for complex manufacturing and production processes.

• Lead technical investigations related to product, process, equipment, and manufacturing performance.

• Drive continuous improvement in quality, yield, throughput, capacity, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.

• At least 5 years of experience leading an engineering team in a high-volume or complex manufacturing environment.

• Proven experience in a regulated manufacturing environment such as medical devices, pharma, automotive, or a similar industry.

• Experience with manufacturing processes such as molding, metal processing, electronics assembly, or other complex production technologies – an advantage.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment.

• High level of English.
