About the Role

We are a high-growth, venture-backed startup developing breakthrough sustainable material solutions. As we enter a critical phase of commercial scale-up, we are looking for a Director of Operations to take full ownership of our global supply chain and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Ownership: Lead global operations, supply chain, procurement, logistics, and manufacturing.

• Factory & Supplier Management: Manage international production partners and suppliers, with immediate focus on our manufacturing operations in Germany (including travel as needed).

• Process & Scale: Build the operational infrastructure, workflows, and KPIs from the ground up to enable efficient, disciplined growth.

• Team Growth: Mentor existing operational support and build out the full operations team as the company scales.

• Executive Partnership: Work directly with the CEO and leadership on operational strategy and milestone execution.

Requirements

Must-Haves:

• Substantial background in Operations, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain.

• Deep familiarity with the plastics, polymers, or related industrial manufacturing sectors.

• Proven track record scaling up physical-product operations in a fast-paced environment.

• Direct experience managing international factories, suppliers, and global supply chains.

• Outstanding business English (written and verbal) for international negotiations and partnerships.

• Startup DNA: Thrives in dynamic, ambiguous environments; able to shift seamlessly from high-level strategy to roll-up-your-sleeves execution.

Advantages:

• Prior experience in a growth-stage startup building teams or functions from scratch.

• Experience working directly with partners/manufacturing facilities in Germany or Europe.
