Head of Investment Systems

A leading and well-established financial organization is looking for an experienced Head of Investment Systems to lead a strategic technology domain supporting investment activities and critical business applications.

The role offers the opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team, drive strategic initiatives, and work closely with senior business stakeholders to shape the organization's investment technology landscape.

Responsibilities

• Lead a technology department responsible for investment-related business applications.

• Manage and develop a team of technology professionals, including project managers, system analysts, and external vendors.

• Define and execute the department's annual work plan, priorities, and budget.

• Oversee the full lifecycle of strategic IT initiatives, from requirements gathering through implementation and production.

• Ensure stability, availability, and continuous improvement of critical business systems.

• Partner with business stakeholders to translate business needs into technology solutions.

• Manage vendor relationships, system integrations, regulatory requirements, and operational risk.

• Drive innovation and continuous process improvement across investment technology platforms.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing technology teams within the financial services industry.

• Strong background in Investment Management, Capital Markets, Pension, Asset Management, Banking, or Insurance.

• Experience leading business applications, systems analysis, or technology delivery.

• Demonstrated experience managing complex cross-functional projects and multiple stakeholders.

• Strong understanding of enterprise systems, integrations, and IT governance.

• Experience working within regulated financial environments.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

Nice to Have

• Experience with investment or trading platforms.

• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (SOX, Information Security, Business Continuity).

• Experience leading digital transformation or modernization initiatives.
