Electrical Engineer

About the Job

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join the Aerospace Division’s Engineering & Development team and take part in the design and integration of EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System) for advanced airborne platforms.

What the Role Includes:

• Design of electrical and avionics schematics, including manufacturing documentation for wire harnesses.

• Component selection, with an emphasis on aerospace-certified parts and standards.

• Integration with systems engineering and mechanical installation teams, including harness concept design.

• Selection of wires and cables for power, communication, fiber optics, and other applications.

• Writing specifications for power distribution boxes and supporting the process from design reviews through aircraft installation.

• Design and manufacturing documentation using HarnesSYS, a dedicated software developed by IAI.

• Developing cost- and weight-effective engineering solutions while maintaining high aerospace quality standards.

• Preparing presentations and presenting technical topics in design reviews.

• Providing technical support to customers.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering – Mandatory.

• At least 3 years of experience in electrical schematic design and integration of complex systems – Mandatory.

• Strong English communication skills – Mandatory, including ongoing meetings and professional discussions in English.

• Experience in the Israeli Air Force, particularly in design engineering or as an aircraft electrician/instrument technician – Advantage.

• Experience as an engineer/practical engineer in aircraft upgrades – Advantage.

• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
