Embedded Software Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join our Pro-AV team to take part in the definition, implementation, and productization of Valens' next-generation chipsets. In this role, you will develop and optimize embedded software for our cutting-edge semiconductor products, directly contributing to high-performance multimedia connectivity, zero-latency video/audio transmission, and next-generation AV distribution technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Develop: Build and optimize embedded software for Valens’ semiconductor products, focusing on high-speed data transmission and ultra-low latency Pro-AV solutions.

• Work closely with HW engineers and system architects to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.

• Translate system requirements into detailed software designs and implementation plans

• Ensure code quality and maintainability through code reviews and continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines

• Create and maintain documentation for software designs and implementation to support internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from a well-known university

• 8+ years in embedded software development – Must

• Strong proficiency in C/C++ - Must

• Strong Object-Oriented Design (OOD/OOP) capabilities - must.

• Experience with Git/SVN – Advantage.

• Experience with multimedia protocols (HDMI, DisplayPort, USB, audio) or high-speed connectivity – Significant Advantage.
