Engineering Director

About the Role

A leading, established civil engineering and infrastructure contracting company with over 55 years of experience is seeking an exceptional Company Chief Engineer / Engineering Director to join its executive technical leadership.

The company specializes in large-scale, complex infrastructure projects for public entities, municipalities, and water corporations, including wet utilities (water, sewage, drainage), microtunneling, pipe jacking, slurry walls, deep foundations, and urban civil works.

This strategic executive position serves as the organization's highest technical authority, guiding project managers, steering high-level engineering decisions, and ensuring robust commercial/financial project controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the supreme engineering mentor and technical advisor for Project Managers and Site Engineers.

• Direct high-level engineering and field execution decision-making for complex infrastructure projects.

• Oversee comprehensive technical, commercial, and financial controls across all active projects.

• Track project budgets, profitability margins, timeline variations, and cost deviations.

• Audit and review commercial billings, contractor payment claims, and subcontractor accounts.

• Deliver real-time, creative engineering solutions for complex on-site challenges.

• Define and enforce company-wide quality standards, engineering workflows, and QA/QC procedures.

• Maximize contractual entitlements and manage technical interfaces with public sector clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering – must.

• Licensed and Registered Engineer (מהנדס/ת רשוי/ה ורשום/ה בפנקס המהנדסים) – must.

• At least 7+ years of proven experience in infrastructure project management and field execution – must.

• Extensive experience collaborating with public agencies, governmental bodies, and municipal corporations – must.

• Deep technical expertise in wet infrastructure (water/sewerage/drainage), drilling, deep foundations, or microtunneling/jacking – must.

• High proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, and construction estimating/billing software (e.g., Dekel/Bina) – must.
