Engineering TL- Growth Team

Pango is looking for an Engineering Team Lead to join our Growth Team and lead the development of some of our most impactful customer-facing platforms, serving millions of users across Israel. The team owns strategic key business domains, including subscriptions, benefits, and loyalty programs, driving products that directly impact customer engagement and company growth. Requirements: • 5+ years of hands-on backend development experience, preferably in Python , with the ability to leverage AI and work effectively across languages. • 1+ years of experience leading and mentoring an engineering team. • Proven experience designing, building, and operating distributed, event-driven systems at scale in cloud environments, preferably AWS. • Hands-on experience with message queues and Pub/Sub architectures. • Experience leading architectural transformations, including the modernization of legacy or monolithic systems. • Proven experience designing and delivering new systems from scratch, from architecture through production. • Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB. • Strong understanding of data consistency, transactional integrity, concurrency, and failure handling in complex systems. • Hands-on experience using AI tools and Coding Agents to accelerate development and improve engineering workflows. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Data, and Business teams. • A growth mindset and a genuine passion for developing people and building a strong engineering culture. • Full professional proficiency in Hebrew and English.
