We're partnering with a global organisation to hire a Lead Data Scientist to join its growing AI & Data Science team. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems while mentoring others and driving best practice across the team.

Working within a central Data Science function, you'll build production-ready machine learning solutions that support teams across the business. You'll work closely with Product, Engineering and key stakeholders to turn business challenges into scalable AI products with real commercial impact.

What you'll be doing

• Lead the delivery of end-to-end machine learning projects from idea through to production.

• Design and deploy scalable ML and AI solutions.

• Mentor Data Scientists and provide technical guidance across the team.

• Partner with Product and Engineering to deliver high-impact, data-driven products.

• Help shape technical standards, tooling and ways of working.

• Champion experimentation, model performance and continuous improvement.

What we're looking for

• Strong commercial experience delivering machine learning solutions into production.

• Experience leading technical projects and mentoring or guiding other Data Scientists.

• Excellent Python and SQL skills, with experience across the full ML lifecycle.

• A solid grounding in machine learning, statistics and experimentation.

• Comfortable working with cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with GenAI, LLMs or RAG applications would be a bonus.
