Embedded Team Lead

About the Position: We are looking for an experienced Embedded Team Lead to join our Embedded Software team at GTI. In this role, you will lead a team of embedded software engineers developing product-grade software for advanced automotive applications. You will combine strong hands-on technical expertise with people's leadership, driving architecture, execution, quality, and delivery across cutting-edge embedded platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of embedded software engineers, fostering technical excellence, professional growth, and effective execution.

• Own the design, development, integration, and delivery of embedded software components in Linux and RTOS environments using C/C++.

• Drive software architecture, technical decision-making, code quality, and development best practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including algorithm, system, hardware, QA, and product stakeholders, to deliver robust product solutions.

• Partner with global Gentex teams to align deliverables, participate in Agile/Scrum activities, and drive process improvements.

What Are We Looking For?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 5+ years of embedded software development experience in C/C++ and Linux environments, including multi-threaded, performance-sensitive systems.

• 2+ years of technical or people leadership experience, with strong knowledge of RTOS, embedded Linux, debugging, and software integration.

• Experience with computer vision, deep learning, edge AI applications, or porting Python-based logic to C/C++.

• Excellent communication skills, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to lead technical discussions in a dynamic R&D environment.
