Facade Design Engineer & Specification Specialist (Remote)

Company Description Sukeet Facades & Panels is the exclusive representative and importer of Trespa® HPL panels in Israel, with more than a decade of experience in the facade industry. The company specializes in external facade systems - Mainly HPL and fiber cement as well as extruded pocelein that enhance building design and improve insulation and weather resistance. Sukeet supports clients through every stage of the project, from concept and design to final facade installation. Its broad portfolio of materials and systems enables tailored solutions that address diverse architectural, technical, and performance requirements.

1. Role Overview

Transforming architectural vision into engineered, fabrication-ready solutions. This role serves as the critical technical bridge between commercial estimations and on-site execution. As our dedicated facade specialist, you will also take full ownership of establishing the department's technical workflow, CAD/BIM standards, and material optimization protocols from the ground up.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Technical Infrastructure & Standardization:

• Define software toolsets (CAD, BIM, Nesting) and technical requirements.

• Build and maintain a standard 2D/3D Block Library, detail templates, and drawing layouts.

• Shop Drawings (SD) & Production Detailing:

• Generate comprehensive shop drawings, fabrication sheets, and panel layout plans for cladding systems (HPL, fiber cement, porcelain, metal composites).

• Design and calculate aluminum substructure framing (brackets, profiles, fix/slide points) according to project loads and site conditions.

• Material optimization: Minimize panel scrap rates through intelligent nesting calculations.

• Resolve interface details (corners, window reveals, parapets, base terminations).

• Architectural Specification Support:

• Support architectural firms during early design phases to embed company cladding systems into tender specifications.

• Align technical solutions with aesthetic intents and budgetary limits.

• Commercial & Estimating Support:

• Extract accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and material takeoffs for cost proposals.

• Provide quick-turnaround technical evaluations for client inquiries.

3. Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

• Education & Experience:

• Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Architectural Technology.

• Proven experience in facade detailing, ventilated rainscreen systems, dry-hung cladding, or architectural metal/aluminum envelope systems.

• Strong ability to read, interpret, and resolve complex architectural and structural drawings.

• Software Proficiency:

• AutoCAD: Expert level (2D detailing and shop drawing production) – Mandatory.

• Revit / BIM: Solid experience in BIM environments for architectural coordination – Significant advantage.

• Nesting & Optimization: Practical knowledge of panel nesting software (e.g., OptiNest, MaxCut, CutRite, Ardis, SigmaNEST, Plus2D, or similar).

• MS Excel: Advanced proficiency for material takeoffs and scrap rate modeling.

• Language:

• Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) – Mandatory.
