Factory Engineer

About the Company

Responsible for the engineering and process aspects of the plant, with the aim of ensuring high availability and reliability of production equipment, continuous process improvement, reducing failures and downtime, and leading engineering projects that support the plant's production, quality, safety and efficiency goals. The role includes close and ongoing work with the maintenance department and production teams in a 24/7 extrusion plant.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high availability and reliability of production equipment

• Continuous process improvement

• Reducing failures and downtime

• Leading engineering projects that support the plant's production, quality, safety and efficiency goals

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering - required

• Materials engineer, chemical engineer or relevant engineering field depending on experience

• At least 3–5 years of experience in an engineering role in an industrial/manufacturing environment

• Experience in a continuously operating manufacturing plant - a significant advantage

• Experience in the plastics industry - very important

• Experience in extrusion processes - a significant advantage

Required Skills

• Engineering expertise in mechanical, materials, or chemical fields

• Experience in industrial/manufacturing environments

• Knowledge of extrusion processes

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the plastics industry

• Experience in continuously operating manufacturing plants
