R&D Manager – Motion Control Systems - 3817

A high-tech company in the robotics industry is seeking a Motion Control Systems

Responsibilities

• Lead system architecture and integration of power electronics, embedded software, control algorithms, and mechanics.

• Own the full development lifecycle through validation and production release.

• Translate R&D into scalable, reliable, and cost-effective products.

• Implement structured development methodologies (Agile, stage-gate).

• Lead and align multidisciplinary R&D teams across Israel and Germany.

• Establish strong engineering standards, design reviews, and validation processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering\ Computer Science

• 10+ years of R&D experience in electromechanical or motion control systems.

• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams.

• Strong background in power electronics and real-time embedded systems (DSP, MCU, or FPGA).

• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems and modeling tools such as MATLAB/Simulink.

• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, CANopen).

• Experience with standards-driven products; functional safety per IEC standards – advantage.
