About Marquee:
Marquee is an AI-powered scouting and recruitment intelligence platform used by professional football clubs around the world. We turn raw match and tracking data into clear, scout-ready assessments that help clubs decide who to sign. Clubs trust what they see on Marquee, and our job is to make sure that trust is well placed.
The Role:
We are looking for someone who knows football deeply and cares about getting the details right. You will be the human quality bar for what clubs see. You will read the platform’s player reports, recommendations, and search results the way a sporting director would, and make sure they are accurate, internally consistent, and sensible in the real world.
This is not a data-entry or box-ticking role. It calls for football judgment. You should be able to read a scout report and immediately sense whether it hangs together, and to look at a set of recommendations and know whether they fit the club and the market.
What you will do:
• Review player reports, recommendations, and search results across the platform, and judge whether they hold up: does the scouting narrative match the underlying data, is the assessment consistent from one screen to the next, does it make sense for the club’s actual squad and situation.
• Work through the product from a user’s perspective across its features, including player profiles, discovery and search, shortlists, and match reports.
• Spot gaps, contradictions, and anything that would not survive a professional scout’s read.
• Write clear, reproducible reports of what you find and work with product and engineering to see them through.
• Help define what good looks like for the outputs clubs rely on, and raise the bar over time.
What you will do:
Football background (this is what matters most):
• Experience in football or another elite sport as a scout, analyst, coach, recruitment or data analyst, or journalist.
• You can read a scout report and tell whether it holds together, where it is thin, and where it contradicts itself.
• Strong grasp of club and squad context: positions and roles, how squads are built, transfer-market and league-level reality, and what makes a recommendation realistic for a given club.
• Comfort with football data and metrics such as per-90 stats, xG, and percentiles. You do not need to be a data scientist, but numbers should not put you off.
• A sharp eye for detail and the instinct to question what you are looking at.
• Clear written communication in English.
Quality and technical skills (we will teach you the rest):
• A structured, methodical way of working and real care about quality.
• Comfort with web applications and everyday tools such as Jira and spreadsheets.
• Prior QA experience or an ISTQB certification is a plus, not a requirement. The football judgment matters more, and we will build the testing craft with you.
Nice to have:
• Time spent inside a club, academy, or agency.
• Familiarity with data providers or tracking data.
Logistics:
Full-time, hybrid, with two to three days a week from our offices in Herzliya.
