Company Description

MANNA – Recipes & Cooking is building a new home for food, recipes, and culinary creators.

The platform helps people turn food inspiration from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and the web into recipes they can save, organize, and actually cook. Users can build personal recipe collections, discover new ideas, create menus, and use AI-powered tools designed around cooking and recipes.

MANNA is already live. Our longer-term vision is to build a social platform centered around food — connecting people, recipes, and culinary creators through what people actually want to cook, discover, and share.

We are now building the founding team that will help take the existing product into its next stage.

Role Description

We are looking for a Founding Technology Partner / Technical Co-Founder to take meaningful ownership of MANNA’s technology and continued product development.

This is not a role to build an idea or an MVP from scratch. A working mobile product and backend already exist.

The role combines hands-on development with technical decision-making. You will work closely with the founder to improve the existing product, build new capabilities, make architectural and infrastructure decisions, and prepare the platform for future growth.

The exact scope and level of involvement can evolve based on the right person and mutual fit.

Key areas of responsibility may include:

• Developing and improving core product features

• Taking ownership of technical decisions and architecture

• Improving platform reliability, performance, and maintainability

• Working across the mobile app, backend, APIs, and data layer

• Integrating and evaluating AI-powered capabilities

• Helping define the technical roadmap as the product evolves

• Establishing strong development practices as the technical team grows

Current Technology

MANNA currently uses:

• Flutter / Dart

• Supabase / PostgreSQL

• TypeScript / Deno Edge Functions

• APIs and third-party integrations

• Google Gemini and other AI-powered services

• Android and iOS

Experience with the exact stack is useful, but not required. Strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to work effectively with an existing codebase are more important.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with:

• Strong hands-on software development experience

• Solid problem-solving and technical judgment

• Experience building and maintaining production software

• Ability to work across product, architecture, and implementation

• Experience with mobile, backend, web, or full-stack development

• Familiarity with APIs, databases, cloud services, and modern software architecture

• Ability to understand an existing codebase and improve it pragmatically

• Strong communication and ability to work closely with non-technical stakeholders

• Comfort working in an early-stage environment with changing priorities and incomplete information

• A high level of ownership and interest in building a company, not only delivering assigned development tasks

Experience with consumer applications, AI integrations, social products, recommendation systems, or early-stage startups is an advantage, but not required.

Stage & Compensation

This is an early-stage founding-team opportunity.

There is currently no salary attached to the role. The position is equity-based, with meaningful equity and vesting structured according to the level of responsibility, commitment, and long-term involvement.
