FPGA Engineer – Defense Company, Central / Shfela Area

A leading defense company in the Central / Shfela area is looking for an experienced FPGA Engineer to join advanced multidisciplinary development projects.

The role includes FPGA development, from architecture and RTL design to simulation, integration, lab debugging, and system-level validation.

Responsibilities include:

Developing FPGA components for complex systems

Writing architecture, design, and technical documentation

RTL development using VHDL and/or Verilog

Building test benches and running simulations

Integrating FPGA components with embedded and system-level environments

Performing lab debugging using JTAG tools and test equipment

Working closely with software, hardware, system engineering, and integration teams

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Computer / Electronics Engineering – mandatory

At least 5 years of experience in FPGA development – mandatory

Experience with VHDL and/or Verilog – mandatory

Experience with Xilinx / AMD or Intel / Altera FPGA components – mandatory

Experience with Vivado, Quartus, Vitis, ISE, or similar tools

Understanding of digital design, timing constraints, CDC, and timing closure

Hands-on lab debugging experience

High level of English

Advantages:

Experience with Matlab, Python, Tcl, or Bash

Experience with communication interfaces such as Ethernet, SPI, UART, I2C, PCIe, DDR, or SERDES

Experience with embedded systems or C programming

Experience leading development teams
