FPGA Engineer

A leading company is looking for an experienced FPGA Engineer to join a multidisciplinary development team.

This role includes the design, development, simulation, implementation, and debugging of FPGA-based solutions for complex systems. The position involves working across the full development lifecycle, from architecture and RTL design through verification, timing closure, lab integration, and system-level validation.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on FPGA development experience, a solid understanding of digital design fundamentals, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced technological environment.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in FPGA design and development.

HDL Proficiency: Strong proficiency in VHDL and/or Verilog for RTL design.

Tool Expertise: Demonstrated experience with at least one major FPGA vendor toolchain: Xilinx/AMD, including Vivado, Vitis, ISE, or Intel/Altera, including Quartus Prime and Platform Designer / Qsys.

Simulation Skills: Experience developing structured testbenches; familiarity with simulation tools such as ModelSim and Questa.

Timing Analysis: Solid understanding of static timing analysis, timing constraints, CDC, and timing closure techniques.

Digital Design Fundamentals: Strong foundation in digital logic design, FSM design, pipelining, DSP architectures, and FPGA resource optimization.

Debug Skills: Proficiency with embedded FPGA debug tools such as ILA, ChipScope, SignalTap, and lab equipment.

Scripting & Automation: Exposure to scripting languages such as Python, Tcl, or Bash for automation of design flows, testing, and build processes.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
