FRENCH SPEAKER ONLY - M&A Analyst

Basel Advisory is scaling its advisory business and opening new market verticals. We're looking for a curious profile with solid finance fundamentals and a real appetite for commercial work.

This is a hybrid commercial role, sitting between SDR and AE: you own the top of the funnel and stay close to the deal as it moves forward, running your own pipeline rather than handing it off.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Origination & sourcing — identify and prospect new targets, primarily by phone and direct outreach to business owners, firms and market players.

• Commercial development — engage decision-makers to understand their challenges, spot opportunities and build our knowledge of the verticals we develop.

• Win business — pitch Basel's value, handle objections and turn conversations into signed mandates.

• Own your pipeline — rigorously track and follow your deals through the pipeline, keeping records, status and next steps up to date.

• Analysis — financial and strategic analysis of target companies and valuation work.

• Documentation & execution — prepare presentation materials and transaction documentation; grow into due diligence and M&A process support.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Above all, someone who knows how to sell — energised by prospecting and direct contact, confident on the phone, able to open a conversation, build trust with a decision-maker and carry it through to a result.

• A hunter's mindset — you don't wait for opportunities, you create them, and you follow through until the deal is won.

• Curiosity and a real drive to understand how businesses and markets work.

• Solid finance fundamentals and sharp analytical skills; the technical M&A craft is learned here.

• Disciplined deal tracking — you keep your files organised and never let one fall through the cracks.

• Comfortable with AI tools (Claude & co) to research, draft and move faster.

• Energy and autonomy in a demanding, entrepreneurial environment; a builder's mindset.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree minimum (BA/BSc), ideally in finance, economics, management or business.

• At least one prior professional experience (long internship or role).

• Highly motivated — relentless, resilient and hungry.

• Fluent in French or Italian — the role is performed in one of these working languages (working English a plus).
