Hardware Development and Integration Engineer for Multidisciplinary Systems

A technology company developing advanced systems is seeking a Hardware Development and Integration Engineer for a key position involving hardware development leadership, system-level integration, and collaboration with customers, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Role Objective

Lead hardware development throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements analysis and planning through engineering documentation, testing, and final hardware-software integration within multidisciplinary systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead hardware development processes in multidisciplinary systems.

• Analyze system requirements and translate them into hardware requirements and technical solutions.

• Plan, execute, and oversee hardware-software integration activities.

• Perform system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and technical problem-solving.

• Work with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and other laboratory test systems.

• Prepare engineering documentation, including requirement specifications, design documents, test plans, and test reports.

• Collaborate with software, systems, mechanical engineering, testing, and other technical teams.

• Manage technical interfaces and work independently with customers.

• Work with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, including monitoring deliverables and ensuring compliance with project requirements.

• Participate in design reviews and engineering decision-making processes.

• Support the system through final integration and delivery to the customer.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in hardware development within a multidisciplinary environment.

• Experience leading hardware development processes.

• Experience preparing engineering documents and technical specifications.

• Experience performing hardware-software integration.

• Familiarity with Automated Test Equipment and laboratory test systems.

• In-depth understanding of development processes for multidisciplinary systems.

• Ability to work independently with customers and technical stakeholders.

• Experience working with contractors or subcontractors.

• Strong system-level perspective and ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.

• Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively across multiple interfaces.
