Head of Data & AI

Join a large, established organization serving millions of consumers as it transforms into a Data- and AI-driven business. As Head of Data & AI, you'll build the organization's AI capability - agentic, predictive, and analytic AI - largely from the ground up, owning a strategic, high-visibility domain with direct impact on the customer and on the business. What You'll Do:

• Build and lead the organization's AI capability end-to-end - agentic, predictive, and analytic AI - including its structure, governance, and tooling.

• Own the existing Data & Analytics domain: data warehousing, BI and dashboards, a Customer 360 platform, and self-service analytics.

• Partner closely with business stakeholders across marketing, digital, and commerce to turn business needs into customer-centric data & AI solutions.

• Define data & AI governance, tooling standards, and approved toolsets in collaboration with security and cyber.

• Manage the domain as a business unit - budgets, hiring, contractors and vendors, and scaling the team to meet demand.

• Represent and champion the unit across the organization, raising its profile with business stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of recent, hands-on experience building AI capabilities - predictive, analytic (GenAI / self-service BI), and/or agentic; in this fast-moving field, recent depth matters more than total tenure - Must

• Proven experience building and leading a Data & Analytics or AI organization, combining strategic ownership with hands-on delivery - Must

• Strong business acumen - the ability to partner deeply with business stakeholders and translate their needs into solutions; understanding the business is as critical as the technology - Must

• Deep understanding of the B2C / end-consumer world and how AI creates impact around the customer - Must

• Experience leading large, multidisciplinary teams, including employees, contractors, and external vendors

• Experience managing a technology function as a business unit - budgeting, hiring, vendor management, and scaling capacity up and down

• Ability to establish data & AI governance, tooling standards, and approved toolsets in partnership with security

• Strong communication and executive presence, able to represent and promote the unit to business stakeholders

• Familiarity with modern data & analytics platforms - data warehousing, BI/dashboards, Customer 360, and self-service analytics

• Strong ownership and the drive to lead change within a large, complex organization

• Experience building a Data & AI organization from the ground up in a bank, insurance company, or similar large B2C enterprise - Significant Advantage
