Head of Infrastructure Branch

Your role will include:

The role includes overall responsibility for the planning, establishment, operation, and security of the institute's technological infrastructure array.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Leading, guiding, and professionally developing a team of approximately 40 infrastructure staff (communications, servers, information security, high-performance computing, and telephony).

• Managing infrastructure architecture, business continuity, and availability.

• Leading infrastructure projects from the specification stage through implementation, managing procurement budgets, working with vendors, and managing service contracts.

• Providing technological and architectural solutions for the complex requirements of research laboratories, including high-performance computing (HPC).

Skills and abilities:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Industrial Engineering and Management (Information Systems track), or a graduate of a technological unit in the military - required.

• At least 10 years of experience as an infrastructure professional in complex enterprise environments.

• At least 5 years of direct managerial experience leading infrastructure teams.

• Experience managing virtualization environments.

• In-depth proficiency in leading cloud environments and hybrid architectures.

• Experience managing advanced storage systems.

• Experience with communications infrastructure and information security systems.

• Experience with high-performance computing systems.

• Experience working with vendors.

• Broad systemic and technological vision alongside the ability to dive into details.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, a strong service orientation, and the ability to work across multiple interfaces.

• Ability to work under pressure, manage crises, and solve complex problems.

• Very high level of English (reading, writing, and speaking).
