In Vivo R&D Researcher

As an In vivo R&D Researcher, you will play a key role in the design, execution, and interpretation of preclinical studies that support the development of our therapeutic products.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end in vivo efficacy and pharmacology studies from initial protocol conceptualization to hands-on execution and comprehensive data analysis.

• Perform versatile surgical model inductions, dosing routes, blood collection, and complex tissue harvesting/necropsy in rodent models.

• Design scientifically rigorous, resource-efficient pilot studies to rapidly achieve definitive "go/no-go" decisions

• Execute downstream ex vivo molecular and cellular analyses (e.g., ELISA, qPCR, Western blot, flow cytometry, IHC) on harvested tissues in coordination with the Analytical Method Development team

• Document experimental procedures, observations, and results in lab notebooks and digital records (Labguru). Prepare study protocols, experimental summaries, presentations, and study reports, and communicate study findings clearly to colleagues and Management.

• Efficiently evaluate and manage external Contract Research Organizations (CROs) for specialized studies or when workflow demands exceed internal capacity.

• Act as the primary in vivo subject matter expert, collaborating daily with molecular biologists, chemists, and executive leadership to align animal studies with corporate milestones.

• Collaborate with team members to support ongoing research projects and meet deadlines

• Report to the RD Director: maintain close and continuous communication regarding experimental progress, including timely updates on results, deviations, protocol execution, and study reports.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Biology, Immunology, Neuroscience, or a related discipline, or DVM (or an M.Sc. with 5+ years of highly relevant industry experience) - MUST

• 2-5+ years of biotech or pharma industry experience specifically designing and executing in vivo studies. Experience with spinal cord or CNS injury models - Advantage

• Experience in a small Biotech environment with resource constraints, rapid pivots, and overlapping responsibilities- Strong Advantage

• Experience in complex model induction surgeries and intensive post-surgery care - Strong Advantage

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.

• Strong documentation and communication skills in English
