Information Technology Risk Manager

A leading financial organization is looking for an experienced Technology Risk Manager to join its Operational Risk Management function and play a key role as a Second Line of Defense.

This is a high-impact role at the intersection of Technology, Risk, Cyber, Cloud, Digital and Business, with broad exposure across the organization and direct involvement in assessing and challenging technology risks, controls and major technology initiatives.

The Role

• Independently assess, challenge and oversee the identification, mapping and management of IT and technology risks across the Technology Division and the wider organization.

• Analyze risks related to technology systems, processes, products and infrastructure supporting critical business activities.

• Challenge risk assessments and analyses performed by the First Line of Defense.

• Assess the design and effectiveness of controls implemented to mitigate technology risks.

• Provide risk oversight and guidance throughout major technology projects and initiatives.

• Analyze significant technology incidents, failures and losses and participate in root-cause analysis and lessons learned.

• Review technology risk assessments and the alignment between technology systems and related business processes.

• Monitor technology-related regulatory requirements and assess compliance from a Second Line of Defense perspective.

• Monitor key technology risk indicators and emerging risks.

• Prepare risk reporting and presentations for management, steering committees and the Board of Directors.

• Work closely with senior stakeholders across Technology, Risk and other professional functions.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field – required.

• 4+ years of Relevant professional experience in technology domains such as software, hardware, cloud infrastructure and digital – required.

• Proven management experience, either direct or matrix-based, including demonstrated project management capabilities – required.

• Previous experience in Technology Risk, IT Risk, Information Systems Audit or a related risk/control function – a strong advantage.

• Master’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Information Systems, technology or engineering – advantage.

• Relevant certifications such as CISA, CRISC or CISO – advantage.

• Experience working with databases and data analysis – advantage.

• Familiarity with AI tools and AI Governance – advantage.
