IT Project Manager – Core Systems Development (5457)

Financial Industry Experience Preferred

A leading organization is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join its Core Systems Division.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technological projects, from the initiation and planning stages through implementation and production deployment.

• Develop and manage project plans, including defining and dividing projects into MVPs.

• Manage project budgets, schedules, deliverables, and external vendors while ensuring alignment with project objectives.

• Lead status meetings and steering committees, prepare presentations for management and steering committees, and provide ongoing status reports.

• Manage project risks, document decisions and meeting summaries, and proactively address potential issues.

• Lead and coordinate cross-functional and matrix-based teams across multiple departments.

• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and drive engagement to ensure successful project execution.

• Identify required system interfaces and demonstrate an understanding of both technological and business processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Information Systems Project Management within large-scale organizations.

• Strong experience managing complex technological projects in large organizations.

• Experience working directly as an employee within a financial or banking organization, preferably in a highly regulated environment, is highly preferred.

• Candidates with experience primarily in product companies or small organizations will not be considered.

• A stable and consistent employment history is required.

• Proven experience working with business stakeholders as well as technological teams.

• Experience managing projects in a matrix environment and collaborating with Information Systems teams, infrastructure teams, system analysts, developers, QA teams, and other stakeholders.

• Proven experience in risk management, steering committees, schedule management, budget management, and conducting status meetings.

• Proficiency in Jira, MS Project, PowerPoint, and Excel.

• Strong understanding of Information Systems processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field – an advantage.

• Familiarity with the banking industry – an advantage.

• A technical or software development background – a significant advantage.
