IT Support & Computer Labs Coordinator

Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is looking for an IT Support & Computer Labs Coordinator to join our IT & Cyber Division.

This is a hands-on IT role combining technical support, hardware and software troubleshooting, computer lab operations, equipment management, and ongoing support for students and academic staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and support the setup of public computer labs, including coordination with external contractors.

• Perform ongoing and preventive maintenance of computers and peripheral equipment.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.

• Install and maintain operating systems and software, including security updates and software license monitoring.

• Provide technical support to students and academic staff using the computer labs.

• Manage IT equipment inventory, purchasing, replacements, and allocation.

• Support the planning, setup, and maintenance of departmental computer labs.

Requirements

• Academic degree or Practical Engineering diploma.

• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.

• Hands-on experience installing and supporting operating systems, hardware, and software.

• Experience troubleshooting hardware and/or software issues.

• Strong service orientation and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
