Java Developer – Production Support & Integration

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Israel is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our team supporting a leading banking client in Petah Tikva. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining integrations between the TCS BaNCS Core Banking Platform and third-party systems, while ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of business-critical banking applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support Java-based applications and system integrations.

• Design and implement REST and SOAP-based services for enterprise applications.

• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve production incidents and application issues.

• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive solutions.

• Support application deployments, releases, patches, and platform upgrades.

• Monitor application performance and optimize system efficiency.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, database, business, and support teams to deliver integrated solutions.

• Review logs, perform memory analysis, and investigate performance bottlenecks.

• Maintain technical, operational, and support documentation.

• Provide production support for critical banking systems and integrations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of experience in Java development and application support.

• Strong experience with Core Java (Java 8/11/17), Object-Oriented Programming, Collections, Exception Handling, and Multithreading.

• Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and JDBC.

• Hands-on experience developing and consuming REST APIs and SOAP web services.

• Strong knowledge of JSON and XML technologies.

• Experience working with Oracle SQL and database troubleshooting.

• Hands-on experience with JBoss Application Server.

• Good understanding of Linux environments, including RHEL commands, shell scripting, and log analysis.

• Experience with Git version control systems.

• Ability to perform troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production issue resolution.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting mission-critical production environments.

• Exposure to incident management and release management processes.

• Knowledge of banking applications and financial services platforms.

• Familiarity with TCS BaNCS or other Core Banking solutions.

• Experience working in enterprise integration environments.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Additional Information

• Working hours: Sunday to Thursday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

• Availability during off-hours and weekends may be required for critical production incidents, major releases, and project-related activities.
