Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Biology Lab Technician to join our biology research team as a temporary maternity leave replacement.

This full-time, hands-on position is ideal for someone who thrives in the lab and brings precision, curiosity, persistence, and adaptability to their work. During the assignment, you will become an integral part of our multidisciplinary team and contribute directly to ongoing research and development activities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process biological samples for experimentation and analysis

•

• Support hands-on wet lab experiments, including diverse tests to evaluate biological attributes

•

• Acquire and annotate experimental data, particularly from microscopy and sample evaluation

•

• Assist in developing, optimizing, and calibrating experimental protocols

•

• Document procedures and results with meticulous accuracy

•

• Support the upkeep, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment

•

• Help manage laboratory supplies and ensure smooth day-to-day operations

•

• Collaborate with team members to establish protocols, share insights, and maintain a supportive research environment

•

Qualifications

•

• Bachelor degree in a biology-related field, such as Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Medical Laboratory Sciences, or a similar discipline

•

• Hands-on experience with wet lab techniques, sample preparation, and microscopy

•

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain detailed experimental records

•

• Precision and persistence, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining sustained attention to detail

•

• A positive, open-minded, and proactive approach, with effective communication and collaboration skills

•

• Ability to work independently, adapt quickly to changes, and approach challenges with a problem-solving mindset

•

• Proficiency in written English

•

• Desirable, but not mandatory: Experience with fertility laboratory procedures and techniques
