We are looking for an experienced Lead AI Engineer with a proven leadership background to lead the design, development and enterprise-wide implementation of advanced AI solutions within a large and complex organization.

This key role combines technological leadership, solution architecture and hands-on development with direct team leadership, strategic planning and collaboration across multiple business and technology functions.

The position focuses on RAG systems, AI Agents, LLM-based solutions, enterprise integrations and hybrid environments combining Microsoft Azure and On-Prem infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities • Lead and professionally manage a team of AI developers, including task allocation, mentoring, code quality standards and ongoing technical guidance.

• Build and execute short-term and long-term AI roadmaps, including timelines, milestones, delivery management and risk mitigation.

• Design the architecture of AI solutions based on LLMs, RAG and AI Agents.

• Take an active hands-on role in developing end-to-end, production-grade AI services.

• Build RAG pipelines, including ingestion, chunking, embeddings, indexing and retrieval.

• Develop reusable components as part of an enterprise AI platform.

• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems, including SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Graph API, Teams and additional APIs.

• Implement security, authorization and data-loss prevention mechanisms.

• Work closely with business units to lead AI use cases from initial concept and POC through enterprise production deployment.

• Collaborate with IT, infrastructure, cybersecurity, regulatory and business stakeholders.

Mandatory Requirements • At least 2 years of proven experience leading a development team as a Tech Lead or Team Lead in AI, Data Science or Software Engineering.

• Experience working in a large-scale enterprise environment with multiple stakeholders and complex organizational processes.

• Strong hands-on Python development experience, including building production-grade services and pipelines.

• Proven experience developing and deploying RAG systems in production.

• Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI or OpenAI.

• Strong experience in software architecture, complex system design and API development.

• Ability to combine technical leadership and team management with hands-on development.

Advantages • Experience with Azure AI Search and Azure App Services.

• Experience with Semantic Kernel or LangChain.

• Experience integrating with SharePoint and Microsoft Graph API.

• Experience working in hybrid Cloud and On-Prem environments.

• Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise ERP systems, such as SAP.

• Experience in matrix management or leading complex projects involving IT, cybersecurity and regulatory stakeholders.
