Mainframe DBA

Join a leading financial organization and become part of a highly professional technology environment supporting critical enterprise systems. As a DB2 Mainframe DBA, you will be responsible for the availability, performance, maintenance, and optimization of DB2 databases in a z/OS environment.

You will work closely with development teams, support complex development processes, implement infrastructure solutions, and play a key role in maintaining stable, efficient, and highly available database environments.

What You'll Do:

• Install, maintain, and support DB2 products and related infrastructure in a z/OS environment

• Monitor, tune, and optimize database performance and operational processes

• Design and maintain DB2 databases while ensuring high availability, stability, and performance

• Work closely with development teams, providing professional guidance and support throughout development processes

• Analyze system requirements and design and implement database and infrastructure solutions

• Troubleshoot database and system-related issues in complex enterprise environments

• Support ongoing improvements and optimization of database processes and infrastructure

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a DB2 DBA – Must

• Proven experience working with DB2 in a z/OS / Mainframe environment – Must

• Strong SQL knowledge and experience with DB2 utilities – Must

• Hands-on knowledge of JCL and REXX – Must

• Familiarity with infrastructure products and Mainframe environments – Must

• Knowledge of SMP/E and RACF – Advantage

• Strong system-level and analytical thinking

• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex technical challenges

• Independent learning ability, initiative, and a proactive approach

• Strong execution skills and high motivation
