As an independent umbrella organization, MAI represents private, public, government, and kibbutz-owned enterprises and plays a significant role in shaping industrial policy. The association leads advocacy efforts on legislation, promotes free and open trade based on reciprocity and fair practices, and creates opportunities for international trade. With more than 2,000 member companies accounting for over 90% of Israel’s industrial output, MAI is the sole representative body for all industrial sectors and one of the most influential organizations in the Israeli economy. The MAI President also serves as Chair of the Presidium of Israeli Business Organizations, uniting business groups from diverse sectors.
Role Description The Industrial Sectors Manager / Client Manager will oversee and support industrial sectors and key member companies, serving as a central point of contact between MAI, its members, and relevant stakeholders. This full-time, on-site role, based in the Tel Aviv District, Israel, involves managing relationships with industrial enterprises, understanding their needs, and promoting their interests within MAI’s policy and advocacy framework. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating sector activities, organizing professional forums and meetings, preparing briefings and reports, and contributing to policy discussions affecting the industry. The role also includes identifying opportunities for collaboration, assisting member companies in navigating regulatory and governmental processes, and maintaining ongoing communication to ensure member satisfaction and engagement.
Qualifications
• Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to represent industrial interests professionally.
• Experience in industrial, economic, or public policy environments, with understanding of regulatory and governmental processes.
• Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills in Hebrew; good command of English is highly beneficial.
• Proven organizational and project management skills, including coordination of meetings, forums, and cross-sector initiatives.
• Analytical abilities to assess sector needs, interpret data and policy documents, and prepare concise reports and recommendations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse organizations and independently manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Academic background in economics, business administration, industrial engineering, law, public policy, or a related field is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Israel’s industrial landscape and experience working with associations, unions, or business organizations is a plus.
