Mechanical Design Engineer

A leading technology company developing multidisciplinary products combining mechanics, optics, and electronics is looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join its engineering team.

What You’ll Do

• Mechanical development of new products from concept through mass production.

• Design mechanical systems for demanding military applications and harsh environments, including extreme temperatures, shock, and immersion.

• Design plastic injection-molded parts using advanced and composite materials.

• Mechanical design and packaging of electronic boards and components.

• Design flexible cable harnesses.

• Work closely with Industrial Designers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

• Support the transition from development to serial production.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering – required.

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development.

• Experience in mechanical packaging of components – an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies, including:

• CNC machining

• Pressure die casting

• Investment / lost-wax casting

• Plastic injection molding

• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks.
