תיאור המשרה המלא
המשרה המקורית · נשמר לעיוןAn established, market-leading Israeli defense technology company specializing in the design, development, and high-volume manufacturing of advanced tactical optical and electro-optical systems.
The company engineers high-precision optical sights, thermal imaging devices, night-vision systems, and laser modules built to operate under harsh tactical and environmental extremes.
Employing approximately 160 professionals, the company pairs comprehensive multidisciplinary R&D spanning optics, precision mechanics, electronics, and optomechanics with full in-house testing and production infrastructure.
Located in the Northern Sharon region.
Role Description-
• Serving as a Senior Optomechanical Engineer, driving the mechanical and optomechanical design of next-generation tactical electro-optical systems from initial concept through to serial production.
• Designing ruggedized military-grade systems engineered to withstand extreme environmental stress: severe shock, vibration, high/low temperature swings, and submersion.
• Designing complex optomechanical sub-assemblies and housing mechanisms down to single-lens mounting, prism holding, and precision optical alignment.
• Designing plastic injection-molded parts using advanced composite materials, as well as electronic packaging and enclosure designs (PCBA packaging).
• Developing flexible PCB harnesses (flex cables) and integrating electronic and optical components within dense mechanical envelopes.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with Optical Engineers, Industrial Designers, Electronics teams, and manufacturing specialists to ensure structural integrity and manufacturability.
Requirements-
• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution – Mandatory
• 10+ years of proven hands-on mechanical development experience – Mandatory
• 3+ years of focused experience in Optomechanics, including precision packaging of optical elements down to single-lens level – Mandatory
• Deep mastery of diverse manufacturing technologies: CNC machining, die casting, investment casting (lost-wax), and composite injection molding – Mandatory
• Full, advanced proficiency in SolidWorks – Mandatory
• Solid background designing ruggedized systems for harsh military/defense environments (MIL-STD compliance) – Mandatory
• Practical experience in electronic packaging, PCBA enclosure design, and flexible cable harness routing – Mandatory
• Proven experience working closely with industrial designers and optical design engineers – Mandatory
