Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

• Responsible for New Product Introduction (NPI) and the transition from development to production, including the assembly of parts and assemblies in the field of electronic enclosures.

• Mechanical design and preparation of manufacturing drawings for production fixtures, jigs, and products for the defense industry.

• Continuous support and technical assistance throughout manufacturing and assembly processes on the production floor.

• Troubleshooting engineering issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to improve existing processes and optimize rework.

• Engineering design according to customer requirements (SOW/Spec).

• Preparation and maintenance of manufacturing and product documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, specifications, and test procedures.

Must-Have Requirements

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.

• At least 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering and/or mechanical design, with experience in sheet metal fabrication, electronic enclosures, and machining.

• Proven experience preparing sheet metal flat patterns/layouts for laser cutting and bending, as well as designing assembly models and fixturing tools.

• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, with an emphasis on Sheet Metal & Weldments, as well as Microsoft Office.

Advantages

• Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Priority.

• Experience with CAD/CAM manufacturing software, such as CncKad, TruTops, or Mastercam.

• Experience working with defense industry requirements and various quality standards.

• Strong technical aptitude, ability to work independently as well as part of a team, excellent ownership and problem-solving skills, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
