Metallurgical Researcher

The Metallurgical Researcher will join the effort to understand and control the microstructure of the workpiece, the thermal treatment of the casted part in order to achieve the optimal quality and the highest mechanical properties of the digitally cast part. All activities take place in an interdisciplinary environment along with scientists, engineers, and professionals from various fields working together.

Requirements: Qualification: · PhD in materials science with more than 3 yrs. of proven experience as a metallurgist or MSc . in materials science with more than 5 yrs. of proven experience in the metallurgy of metal additive manufacturing. · Knowledge in Materials science simulation software, for example: MAGMASoft, ProCAST, Thermo-Calc, JMatPro, MatCalc, and TC-PRISMA. · Open-minded, self-driven, independent , delivery-oriented. · Hands-on laboratory experience. · Strong interrelationship capabilities. · Innovating and out-of-the-box thinking, approved patents is an advantage. · Expertise in additive manufacturing of metal – advantage · Knowledge in mechanical engineering, design and simulation – advantage · Programming skills (Python, MATLAB, or similar) – advantage.
