Learn more at: www.realsenseai.com Role Description The Optical Product Engineer will work on-site in Haifa in a full-time capacity, collaborating closely with hardware, software, and product teams to develop and optimize optical systems for depth cameras and vision products. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining optical requirements, supporting system architecture, and performing design, simulation, and analysis of optical and imaging components. The role involves building and executing test plans, conducting characterization and validation of optical performance, and troubleshooting issues from prototype through production. The Optical Product Engineer will document designs, test results, and best practices, while providing technical guidance to manufacturing, quality, and customer-facing teams to ensure product reliability and performance in real-world applications. Qualifications

• Strong background in optics or optical engineering, including imaging systems, lenses, illumination, and optical sensors.

• Experience with optical design and analysis tools (e.g., Zemax, Code V, or similar), and familiarity with simulation and modeling workflows.

• Hands-on skills in lab measurement and testing, including use of optical benches, alignment tools, and instrumentation for characterization.

• Knowledge of camera systems, computer vision, 3D sensing, or depth perception technologies used in robotics or automation.

• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, manufacturing, and product) and explain complex technical topics clearly.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; relevant industry experience is an advantage.

• Experience with data analysis tools (such as Python or MATLAB) for processing measurement data and generating reports is beneficial.

• Background in product development from prototype to production, including design-for-manufacturing and reliability testing, is a plus.
